Hayssen Flexible Systems celebrated shipping its 5000th vffs bagging machine from its manufacturing headquarters in Duncan, SC. All team members gathered for a momentous occasion to reflect on the history of an ULTIMA product line that is going strong after 40 plus years. Through acquisitions in Italy and England, Hayssen has added to the product lines manufactured in the South Carolina facility, yet the Ultima model has been the majority sold in hitting this substantial 5,000 mark.
Team members recreated a photo of the "Can Do Crew." The original photo was taken in 1990 to commemorate the 1000th vffs bagger shipment. And on October 20th, 2015 many of the same team members stood proudly by the 5000th machine before it headed out to the shipping dock. Know as the "Can Do Crew" or "White Hat Club" many of the team members have been working at Hayssen for more than 20 years. Scott Bradley, Vertical Machine Assembler shared, "Hayssen is unique in that you can be working here ten years and still be considered the new guy."
Mike May, President of Hayssen Flexible Systems, also spoke at the event, sharing his appreciation for some of the retired employees who created the future success for the company. He also shared customer testimonials, "I can say many things about our company, we can say things, but this customer sent us a message that reads: Hayssen has awesome people with a high focus on results, and we appreciate that."
